Mr. Jolly has served as legal advisor and litigation counsel to numerous sheriffs and various municipal police agencies. He began his career in 1975 as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Florida. He entered private practice in 1979. He also served as a municipal prosecutor for the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida from 1979-1983. Mr. Jolly currently serves as legal advisor to the City of Fort Lauderdale Code Board and the City of Fort Lauderdale Nuisance Abatement Board. His law practice includes serving as litigation counsel and legal advisor to state and local government and law enforcement agencies defending police liability and auto negligence lawsuits. Mr. Jolly’s practice also includes providing litigation services at both the trial and appellate levels in both federal and state court in such matters as auto accident litigation, premises liability claims, negligence claims and intentional tort claims. He has also been an adjunct law professor at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center. Mr. Jolly has tried in excess of two hundred jury trials and has conducted oral argument before the Florida Supreme Court, various State District Courts of Appeal and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal, a federal appellate court.
